I've done it and it works, I model in "O" and still have locos with old open frame motors (Pitman, Tri-ang etc). Both decoders will be programmed with the same address and a second (or third) decoder is cheaper than a new motor and gear train. WebNov 28, 2024 · Fit decent decoders with a track record, and makers instructions, for use on small coreless motors. That tends to mean European brands such as Zimo and CT. With those, the makers instruction manuals help. For CT, there is a guide to the settings which can be changed on the 2mm website which I wrote many years ago.

The location shown in the first photo is for “F” units. E units require the toothpicks to be placed at the inside end of the trucks. I was thinking that this may be possible to install DCC boards into an O gauge locomotive if the ground and track power were first ran to a bridge rectifier and then to the motors light etc. solis window opener

Because of work done on my home, I had to tear down my DCC switching layout and put everything in boxes.
